The Vintage Mafia x Prohibition #2

The Vintage Mafia x Prohibition #2

This September, join us and the good people of The Prohibition Party on Saturday 6th September, London’s most riotous celebration of 20s opulence as we once again host a very small, dirty, decadent and totally ‘secret’ (ish) Speakeasy within a speakeasy.

Last time was just the bees knees as these pictures by Hanson show.

We just felt that Prohibition was too darned glamorous for its own good, and we had to do our best to lower the tone. A dark underworld, hidden in the kitchens of the decadent Bloomsbury Ballroom, with sackcloth hanging from the ceiling, candles and dead flowers everywhere. Hidden behind doors proclaiming the virtues of Temperance, the alcohol was served in medicine bottles and jars. The entertainment was unrestrained by decorum and the dancing girls were of loose morals. It was brilliant!

The main areas of the venue of course featured amazing live big band performances, dancing lessons, gramophone DJs, blackjack and roulette and, of course, all the surreptitiously served cocktails you could want. All in all, a resounding success.

We’re delighted to say that September’s Prohibition is going to feature our secret speakeasy again! We will have Sophia St Villier performing and a brand new band put together by Albert Ball, famously of the Flying Aces.

If any of our Ric Rac Club regulars would like to come to the biggest party of the season and gain entry into our special area before we open it up to the rest of the Prohibition guests, then please use this special ticket link – you’ll then be emailed the secret password a few days beforehand.
