Dates for your Diaries!

Well, well, well. June is turning out to be a very busy month for the VM. We are putting on, not one, but two events in the coming weeks, both different but both super fun. How will you choose?! Firstly, on Saturday the 21st June, we are hosting the Courtyard of the Royal Academy for Midsummer Night’s Fete, the RA’s most excellent Summer Late. In the courtyard, The Vintage Mafia will roll out the greens and unveil a village fête from a bygone era. With a free cocktail in hand (thanks Fever-Tree!), experience the The Candid Jug Orange Band, stalls, Mr Smith’s Letterpress workshop and a takeaway van manned by a crack team of poets who will write,...

April aperçu

“April is the cruellest month” – well Mr Eliot, I must beg to differ!  Today is the very first day I am wearing my Swedish Hasbeens, the stockings are on, but still I can see me toes! To take you back in time a few weeks, we had an absolutely ball working with the British Library on the after party at Puttin’ On the Glitz.  Everyone was fabulously attired as you can see below.  Thank you to all our contributors and most of all to all of you that made it to the party. In top secret news, we *may* be hosting another party within one of London’s finest buildings to welcome in Summer.  Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement coming...

#BLSpring – Puttin’ on the Glitz

Phew, this year has flown by so far! Sorry we haven’t posted in a while – but we have exciting news about a big event we are working on with the British Library! Very exciting… Puttin’ On The Glitz is an evening of talks and frivolity, and we are hosting the cocktail after-party! At time of writing, the talks are actually sold out, but luckily the party is not. ...

Balling in Bloomsbury

Last Saturday evening was one of my favorite nights of the year, The Grand Anarcho Dandyist Ball.  I may be pretty heavily biased considering that I run the party for The Chap magazine!  However, it truly is the best night for people watching.  One of the great benefits of working the whole evening, means that due to the lack of g&ts you are able to play the observer and what great outfits I observed!  All vintage girls know that there is nothing better than admiring others’ frocks and hairstyles! This weekend was a stark contrast to the glitz of the weekend passed.  With all plans set to go out and get cocktails, Fleur, Jeni and I made a last minute...

We are all firmly bumped back to earth from our superb weekend at Rhythm Riot.  Some have you may have seen our pictures across the Daily Fail and the Guardian, I won’t bore you with them here!  It’s now time for us to look forward to some festive fun. Here’s where the competition comes in!  As you may know, both Fleur and I work for The Chap magazine and I am currently in the process of organising the Grand Anarcho Dandyist Ball.  Mr Gustav Temple has kindly agreed to donate a pair of tickets to our lovely readers.  In order to win head over to our facebook page and either like or share the photo.   I’ll leave you with some photos of us...

Autumnal Activities

Apologies for our absence, the month has run away with us! Earlier in September we were invited by What Katie Did to launch the new calender for Miss Miranda.  Gin cocktails flowed and Fleur and I made our way through a good number of snacks!  The new Miss L Fire shoe collection stocked at the London boutique definitely piqued our attention and we dream spent all our money!  We had a lovely evening catching up up lots of lovely London ladies.   In other news, unfortunately we are not putting on a Halloween party this year but we are DJing at The Blues Kitchen on Friday November the 1st.  If you’re in London do come along and join us, we promise to play...
