Today was spent on one of our favourite annual outings – the Tweed Run, this year being even more special as it was their fifth birthday! We battled wind, rain, wind and more rain to make it to the end of the run. Our ride was punctuated with a refreshing tea stop outside John Soane’s House, where we revived ourselves with cake and gin. We were also lucky enough to meet the lovely ladies from Penhaligon’s who spritzed us with the most fragrant scents, enough to mask damp tweed! We had a super day and I won 3rd place most dashing dame. Thank you to Jacqui and Ted from the Tweed Run - Happy Birthday and here’s to another five tweedy...

We did encourage costumes, obviously, but even we were surprised and pleased by the effort that some of our guests went to! The One Vintage Evening was open to only a select few, and the aim was to launch their new Martini Movies experience, which offers film and food fans the opportunity to watch a private screening of a carefully-chosen film with a Grey Goose Martini in hand, popcorn included… plus a three-course meal in the Axis or Indigo restaurants at the hotel.
